This was a series of posters I made as a part of a project in which I was told to take an existing piece of media (in this case, one of my favorite movies adapted from a book, Practical Magic) and create a set of posters for it. The biggest restriction was that I was not allowed to use any of the existing branding from the movie. Instead, I had to create a whole new visual identity. I aimed to create something both dark, whimsical, and romantic, like the movie itself. I loved experimenting with a blackletter typeface for the title to evoke a sense of fantasy and the old typewriter style for the other text, which reminded me of campy horror films.
